recipe of upma

Upma is very healthiest food. You can serve it at breakfast time or tea time or dinner time. Its really very yummy and delicious dish. It also little bit crunchy because of urad dal. 

1. 1 cup suji (Semolina)
2. 2 cup buttermilk
3. 1 teaspoon urad dal (white)
4. 2 - 3 green chili finely chopped
5. 1 potato finely chopped
6. 1 onion finely chopped 
7. 1 tomato finely chopped
8. 1 tablespoon boiled green peas 
9. 3 teaspoon sugar
10. 3 teaspoon red chili powder
11. 1 teaspoon coriander powder
12. 1 teaspoon garam masala
13. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
14. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
15. 5 -6 curry leaves (kadi patta)
16. 2 tablespoon oil
17. salt (taste wise)
18. chopped coriander leaves

1. Take a thick pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds and saute for few second till it crackle and then add  cumin seed, curry leaves, urad dal and green chili and saute for few second.
2. Now, add potato and salt and mix it properly and saute for 1 - 2 minutes.
3. Now, add suji (rawa) in it and continuously mix it till it become light brown colour.
4. Now, add tomato, green peas and onion and mix it properly and saute for 1 minute.
5. Add buttermilk in it and mix properly. 
6. Now, add red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder and sugar, mix it continuously till it become thick.
7. Add coriander leaves and serve it.

1. You can add chopped carrot in it.
2. You can add boiled peanuts in it.
