recipe of green peas khakhara

Green Peas Khakhara
Khakhara is a very popular Gujarati snack / Kathiyavadi snack. Khakhara made from wheat flour, salt and water. But here i am tried green peas for innovate something more tasty and delicious flavor. khakhara is very healthy snack. You can also do it from roti. Green peas khakhara is very easy, tasty and crispy. Ohhhh yes......You can also store it in a airtight container for 15 - 20 days. 

1. 2 cup wheat flour
2. 1 cup boiled green peas
3.  2 - 3 green chilies (chopped)
4. 1/2 inch ginger cube (chopped)
5. 6 - 7 garlic 
6. Salt (taste wise)
7. 1 teaspoon red chili powder
8. 1 teaspoon coriander powder
9. 1 teaspoon garam masala
10. 1 teaspoon pav bhaji masala(optional)
11. water ( for make dough)
12. 2 teaspoon oil / ghee
13. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            
1. Take a mixer bowl, add boiled green peas, green chilies, ginger, garlic, salt, garam masala, pav bhaji masala and coriander powder in it.
2. Add 1 - 2 teaspoon water in it and blend it properly till it become smooth pest.
3. Take a bowl, add 1 and half cup wheat flour in it. (Note: 1/2 cup wheat flour put aside)
4. Now, add salt and  half crush cumin seeds in wheat flour and mix it properly.
5. Add 2 teaspoon ghee or oil in it and mix it properly.
6. Now, add green peas pest in wheat flour and mix it properly for make a semi soft dough. (Note: if there is need of water then just sprinkle it)

7. Now, devide the dough into 5 - 6 small equal portion.

8. Now, take one by one portion of dough, put it in a dry wheat flour and roll out it very thin layer.

9. Now, heat tawa and put one khakhara on it.
10. Cook each khakhara lightly for few seconds on both sides in tawa at slow flame.

11. Again, Cook each khakhara by applying little pressure with the help of cloth on slow flame till it become crispy on both sides.
12. Transfer it to plate and put it aside for 30 minutes.
13. Now, your green peas khakhara is ready to serve with tomato ketchup.

Tip: You can also apply butter on hot khakhara.
