recipes of lasaniya batata

Lasaniya batata or bataka is very famous dish. "Lasaniya" is gujarati word, it means Garlic. It’s really very spicy dish by adding lots of garlic. However, those who appreciate the spiciness and are ready to go to any length to enjoy the best flavor of garlic and potato sauteed in spices will experience the heavenly delight. 
Usually People eat with rice crackers or wafers or rice papad.

1.     250 grams baby potato parboiled with salt
2.     5 to 6 tablespoon oil
3.     1 teaspoon cumin seeds
4.     1 teaspoon red chilly powder
5.     Coriander leaves for garnish

For Paste:

1.     2 tablespoon powder soak in water or kashmiri chilly soak in water
2.     3 tablespoon garlic paste (lasun)
3.     1 teaspoon ginger paste
4.     1 teaspoon garam masala
5.     1 tablespoon coriander powder
6.     1/2 teaspoon chat masala

1.     Wash and parboil baby potato in salted water after cool than remove the skin.
2.     Grind all paste ingredients in grinder and make smooth paste.
3.     Heat the oil in pan then add cumin seeds and saute for few seconds.
4.     Now add red chilly powder and saute for few seconds.
5.     Now add paste and saute for 2 to 3 mints or until oil start separate.
6.     Add in this pan, parboiled potato stir well, cook for 1 mint.

7.     Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot potato with rice papad or as u wish.
